I flipped it to the taller side last week and my 3-year-old can finally climb in without help. The solid wood base actually keeps it steady when he leans over the arm, which was my main worry.

My two-year-old drags this thing all over the playroom and it hasn't tipped once, which says a lot since she climbs on everything. The solid wood base is heavier than I expected, and flipping it to the low side means she can get in and out by herself.

I flipped it to the taller side once my 2-year-old hit a growth spurt and it's like a whole new chair. The solid wood really does stop it from tipping when she climbs in sideways, which was my main worry.
